CORD Work Placement

May 2012: DHL Ta’Moko Lions RFCU18s Captain starts working with SMCT (Singapore Medical Centre of Training) as part of the CORD Programme.

Muhammad Sufyan Bin Sapiee has started employement with one of the CORD supporters, SMCT (Singapore Medical Centre of Training), as a trainee medic/first aider.

He has started work with SMCT on 4th May 2012. He will be under-going a standard first aid course with SMCT. Meanwhile, he has been attached to various events.

“I am very happy working now for SMCT after I have been rejected for my ITE education twice this year. I have decided to work and help support my family members. For the third year running, Britcham will be putting on a celebration of sportsmanship and networking opportunity. Speed Institute weekly Strength & Conditioning Training

SMCT Medical Standby Services

February 2012: Singapore Emergency Medical Care Training and Services Ptd Ltd (SMCT) have offered to sponsor field side medical support for Ta'Moko Lions during rugby training every Sat from Apr onwards. Many thanks to all the guys at SMCT.

Bucks RFC Adopt CORD as their 2012 Charity

February 2012: On Saturday 14 April, Bucks RFC, Singapore will host a black tie dinner at the magnificent 5* Shangri La Hotel, Singapore. The aim of the evening is to support the rugby club and raise money for Singapore's youth rugby charity, CORD. Bucks have chosen CORD as their charity for the year.


New Zealand Chamber of Commerce

January 2012: NZCC have adopted Ta'Moko Lions and CORD as their Charity for the year. They will help raise funds for CORD.


New Volunteer Coaches

January 2012: Ta'Moko Lions would like to welcome Steven 'Stumpie' Black and Lloyd Cartwright to their team of volunteer coaches. Welcome Gentlemen.

CORD Approved as Charity

October 2011: As of 18th October, CORD was officially approved as a charity under the
Charities Act and Charities (Registration of Charities) Regulations.

DHL Confirm as Founding Member

JUNE 2011: DHL confirmed at a dinner for their global rugby ambassador, ex-All Black Sean Fitzpatrick that they would become one of the two founding members of CORD, along with Centaurs Group. Click here for press release.


Coaching Clinic with Sean Fitzpatrick

JUNE 2011: Thanks to support of DHL, the former All Blacks Captain will hold a coaching clinic with Ta'Moko Lions RFC boys on Monday June 20th at Farrer Park, Singapore.

Sean Fitzpatrick is one of the giants of international Rugby, holding the world record for playing in 63 consecutive Test matches, and being the world’s most capped hooker.

His extraordinary international career began with his debut for the All Blacks in 1986 against France. He was appointed captain of the All Blacks in 1992, and played in 121 international matches, including 92 Test matches - a NZ record.
